Regina Sadowski

Regina Sadowski, a Bronx native, holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the Manhattan School of Music in Violin Performance and a Master of Music degree from the University of Michigan in Improvisation. Performing on multiple instruments throughout the United States, Europe, and Asia, spanning many musical genres, she has performed in Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, BAM, La Mama ETC, the Guggenheim Museum, St. John the Divine, Riverside Church, Dance Theater Workshop, 92nd Street Y, and in the International Music and Dance Festivals of Venezia, Edinburgh, Aldeburgh, Vienna, Tokyo, San Francisco, New York, Seattle, and Los Angeles, as well as the New York Shakespeare and The Williamstown Theatre Festivals. Regina has collaborated with writers, dancers, choreographers, and composers, including Brett Helquist, Todd Craig, Keith Thompson, Yoshiko Chuma, Stefanie Nelson, John Jasperse, Henry Threadgill, Taylor Haskins, River Guerguerian, Chris Peck, David T. Little and Oscar-winning composer Tan Dun, premiering his works Soundshape and the Bessie award-winning Jo Ha Kyu. Regina has composed pieces for solo violin, string orchestra, jazz ensemble, chamber music, and numerous works for dance. She currently lives in Portland, Oregon where she performs regularly with Portland Chamber Music, a non-profit whose mission is to offer free concerts to underserved communities.
